Cal turned me onto the Trout Trix worm a couple of years ago, and by far it is the most effective presentation in western Washington; it works on almost all the lakes I fish, most of the time. By far, I have caught more trout on Trout Trix worms than any other presentation I fish. Thanks Cal!

Cal, it hasn’t been practical for me to fish down rigger. Can you talk a little more on hybrid lead core and the addition of weights to help get down to different depths of water. Like how many colors of lead core to let out with what amount of weight to get down to specific depths? Thanks Love❤ your channel Fish on!

I have been watching ur videos for a long time and its played off! Rented a little 14 ' boat w/ motor trolled naked worms and woolybuggers with a 4' leader behind a Carolina rig with a 3/8 and 1/2 ounce weight. Trolled as slow as the boat would go and caught 7 lost 2 and missed a few. It was a great day! Thanks for all the tips

At Berryessa, I used my downrigger double stacked. My buddy used a diver. I caught two and he caught six in the same amount of time. Cal is right again. Listen to this man. He knows.

Curious to know how far back you were running your spoons?

When using your Downrigger going that fast what size weight are you using?

You know most of those trout you catch on trebles and net dont survive very well right? I mean, i let the smaller ones go too. Great trolling tho. I use spinners. I need to get after the spoons. I just dont know em very well.

Back in June 15-22nd I was fishing over at Lake Chelan in WA. I caught almost all my biggest fish off a metallic green rooster tail. One morning, I limited out in an hour. I caught so many fish off that rooster tail ,it eventually broke in half. I tried a bunch of other lures, but the green one kicked some butt. I didn't have another one. I drove to town and picked up a few more at Walmart. The next day, I caught an 8 lb king salmon. My brother caught an 11 lb king off a 3in green senko while we were lake trout/small mouth bass fishing. What an awesome lake. I can't wait to go back there. Next time, I'll have to hide the gourmet dog treats. So someone doesn't mistake them for chicken jerkey and eat half the bag again. 🤣🤣🤣 Dave😂

If you want cooler weather head further up the road to Little Grass Valley Reservoir CA, (little beaver boat launch), you can catch your fill of trout and kokanee in a remote setting, lake to yourself.

All about the beckman nets! Nice time on the water. I'm having a hard time on one of my lakes trolling for bows cause the weeds are up so high and it's not a deep lake. So I've been on bass with wacky rigs slaying them. In 3 weeks I'm heading to my river to catch our return run king and coho salmon. It's gonna be good cause that means the best fishing days ahead! Nice video on finicky trout tight lines friend!
